Episode 17: “Let the Right One In”
A great storm is all set to approach Mystic Falls. Of course, it blocks out rays from the sun and the heavy rain make the roads dangerous. In the midst of the storm, Jeremy keeps trying to convince Anna to turn him, but Ana continuously refuses. While out hunting, Stefan is captured by Frederic and his friends, who have every intention to torture him before killing him. Damon tries to enter the house, only to realize he cannot get in because the owner of the house has not given out an invitation of entrance.
Left with no choice, Damon and Elena now have to convince Alaric to work with them to help save Stefan. Damon, however, still refuses allow Elena to come into the house with them. Meanwhile. Pearl meets up with Mayor Lockwood in the Mystic Grill. Matt gets mad at his mother Kelly, but is afraid of pressuring her too much, fearing that she may leave again. Alaric enters the vampire house pretending that he needs to borrow the phone. Damon has no choice so he kills the human living in the house, thus enabling him to enter. Caroline discovers the remains of Vicky Donovan when her car breaks down in the middle of the storm. Matt and Kelly are heartbroken by the of Vicky’s death. Damon and Elena finally rescue Stefan, but a fight erupts. Luckily, Damon and Alaric manage to kill most of the vampires. Frederick comes after Elena and Stefan, and Stefan is then wounded badly. Elena has to feed Stefan her blood to revive him. Stefan loses control of himself for a little while, but fortunately comes to his senses. Anna agrees to turn Jeremy into a vampire , but she then realizes that the real reason he wanted to be turned was to be with Vicky, who is now dead. Damon discovers that Stefan has lost control of his bloodlust, taking in large amounts of human blood from Damon’s stores of IV bags.
