It’s Founder’s Day, and everyone is ready floats and fireworks. Jeremy, who is still on Elena’s bad side after her lying, seek Anna’s company. Anna gives Jeremy a vial of her blood and offers him the choice of becoming a vampire.

Damon and Alaric team up to try to stop John Gilbert from utilizing the mysterious invention that kills vampires, but it is of no use. John still sets his plan in motion, leading to a chaotic, destructive, and deadly end to the Founder’s Day celebration. Meanwhile, Caroline is severely injured in a car accident involving Tyler. It is then suggested that Tyler and his father, the mayor may not be human. It is in also in episode 22 that John kills Anna and burns many of the tomb vampires alive. Tyler’s father is among the victims of the tomb. Stefan realizes that, despite everything Damon has done to him and Elena he is still his brother and that he loves him. Elena goes to John and confronts him with the knowledge that  she knows he is her father. This is based on what Stefan told her. Bonnie then saves Stefan and Damon from John’s rampage for Elena’s sake but tells Stefan that if Damon kills another innocent person, she will not hesitate to take him down. Damon finally realizes that he is not all bad, and that he may actually want to become a better person. When Jeremy learns of Anna’s death, he drinks Anna’s blood and overdoses on pain pills. Jeremy hopes that his emotional pain will cease if he becomes a vampire. Damon kisses a person whom is supposedly Elena. This “Elena” enters the Gilbert house and murders John Gilbert but right before John dies, he recognizes her as Katherine, pretending to be Elena.

The season ends when Elena enters the house and goes towards the kitchen, where Katherine is.

What will happen next season? We can’t wait for more vampire diaries!!!

Here’s what does down in Episode 21, aptly titled “Isobel”:

Isobel is back in town and surprises Alaric. She returns with a surprising new cynical and cruel attitude and demands to him that  that he arrange a reunion for Elena and herself. However, despite her demanding ways, it is still quite apparent that  despite her  she is still in love with him and has still not found happiness  with her life as a vampire.

Mother and daughter finally meet but frustatingly enough, Isobel still refuses to answer most of Elena’s questions. Shoe does, however, announce that but she, too, is also looking for the mysterious invention that John Gilbert has been looking for. Isobel then learns that Damon has the device, Isobel orders Elena to obtain the invention from Damon. Should Elena refuse, or fail, it would mean death for her loved ones. Pretty soon, it becomes quite clear that both Isobel and John are working for Katherine.

Isobel doesn’t stop at ordering Elena. She herself tries to coax Damon into giving her the device and offers to reveal Katherine’s whereabouts in return. However, Damon does not take the intimidation well and  makes it clear that he will not tolerate Isobel’s threats towards him or the people he cares about. Damon also states that he no longer wants anything to do with Katherine. Isobel, in a desperate attempt , then  kidnaps Jeremy in order to force Elena’s hand. Left with no choice, Elena begsDamon to give her the device and  he actually  does. Bonnie helpfully offers to remove the spell from the device, which can supposedly kill vampires, but we all later find out that Bonnie only pretended to deactivate the device, because of  her vendetta against vampires.

Elena hands over the  device to Isobel, who tells Elena that the real reason Damon surrendered the device to Elena is because he is in love with her.  Elena finds out that John is actually her biological father, and that he and Isobel had dated in high school. With the device, John plans to use the device to kill all the vampires in Mystic Falls, including the brothers Stefan and Damon. Isobel, who finally shows concern for her daughter expresses her fear that the Salvatore brothers may eventually turn Elena into a vampire. As a mother, it is the last thing she could want  for Elena- and explains that getting rid of the vampires is the best thing she and John could do for their only child.

Episode 20 starts off with Stefan trying to come to terms with his past. He and Damon reveal pieces of their history to Elena, including the story about how the brothers were turned into vampires.

Meanwhile, Pearl and Jonathan Gilbert have an an ugly confrontation while Damon and Alaric attempt to track down the mysterious invention before Jonathan can get his hands on it. Jeremy and Anna’s relationship continues to grow in Episode 20 but at the end of the episode Jonathan Gilbert kills Pearl by staking her. Anna cries over Pearl’s dead body.

Elena releases Stefan but he goes blood crazy and wants to die. Luckily, Elena manages to talk him out of it. They return to the house and Stefan seems to be cured of the blood-craze but Damon doesn’t seem pleased with the news.

It’s time for the  Founder’s Day Gala, and Elena and Caroline find themselves competing for the title of  Miss Mystic Falls. In the middle of the pageant preparations, Bonnie finally  returns to town and Elena is of course, very happy to have her back. However, all is not well with Bonnie. She still has some issues to work out and alienates poor Elena because of her  association with Stefan.

Meanwhile, John Gilbert to intimidate Damon, which of course proves to be futile. How can you intimidate a vampire? And Daman at that?!  In the course of the intimidation, Damon discovers that Stefan is hiding a very dangerous secret from him.

In Episode 18, things are supposedly under control. Stefan struggles to maintain control of his new circumstances.  Elena and Jeremy also have to deal with the arrival of their uncle,John Gilbert, when he unexpectedly shows up in Mystic Falls. Alaric and Elena finally get to talk about Isobel, and it really is awkward.

At the Founder’s Day event, Stefan exhibits some really unusual behavior. When  Damon tries to find out why John Gilbert has returned, things take for a worse turn. Meanwhile,  Matt and Tyler find themselves in conflict after an incident at the party, and the relationship between Matt and his mom reaches an all time low point.  Elena has to comfort Jeremy, but is unfortunately unable to. which leads him to take action.

A great storm is all set to approach Mystic Falls. Of course, it blocks out rays from the sun and the heavy rain make the roads dangerous. In the midst of the storm, Jeremy keeps trying to convince Anna to turn him, but Ana continuously refuses. While out hunting, Stefan is captured by Frederic and his friends, who have every intention to torture him before killing him. Damon tries to enter the house, only to realize he cannot get in because the owner of the house has not given out an invitation of entrance.

Left with no choice, Damon and Elena now have to convince Alaric to work with them to help save Stefan. Damon, however, still refuses allow Elena to come into the house with them. Meanwhile. Pearl meets up with Mayor Lockwood in the Mystic Grill. Matt gets mad at his mother Kelly, but is afraid of  pressuring her too much, fearing that she may leave again. Alaric enters the vampire house pretending that he needs to borrow the phone. Damon has no choice so he kills the human living in the house, thus enabling him to enter.  Caroline discovers the remains of Vicky Donovan when her car breaks down in the middle of the storm. Matt and Kelly are heartbroken by the of Vicky’s death. Damon and Elena finally rescue Stefan, but a fight erupts. Luckily, Damon and Alaric manage to kill most of the vampires. Frederick comes after Elena and Stefan, and Stefan is then wounded badly. Elena has to feed Stefan her blood to revive him. Stefan loses control of himself for a little while, but fortunately comes to his senses. Anna agrees to turn Jeremy into a vampire , but she then realizes that the real reason he wanted to be turned was to be with Vicky, who is now dead. Damon discovers that Stefan has lost control of his bloodlust, taking in large amounts of human blood from Damon’s stores of IV bags.

Exciting things happen in Episode 16. Anna pays a visit to Damon, bringing with her, her mother Pearl, who really wants to take control of the town. At this point, all of  the vampires in the tomb have been released, and almost all of them are staying at an old farmhouse on the outskirts of town. Pearl then offers to help Damon find Katherine if he, in turn, helps her out,  he turns her down and the nicely-planned visit takes a violent turn. Anna arrives unexpectedly at Jeremy’s house. Jeremy cuts his hand purposely  to tempt Anna, who then sucks his blood, but she is interrupted by the arrival of  Jenna.

Meanwhile, Elena, Stefan, Caroline, and Matt go on a really awkward double date to Mystic Grill where Frederick, a now-freed vampire from the tomb, mistakes Elena for Katherine. After the disastrous date, Kelly, Jenna, and Damon have some drinks at the bar but as soon as  Jenna leaves when things start heating up between Damon and Kelly. Frederick and his girlfriend Bethanne, who have always blamed the Salvatore brothers for their entombment, then break into the boarding house and attack Stefan and Damon. Stefan stakes Bethanne, but Frederick escapes and flees to the farmhouse. There, Pearl punishes him for leaving the house against her orders. Anna sneaks into Jeremy’s room and chastises him for cutting himself in front of her, but Jeremy insists that he did it because he wants her to turn him into a vampire.

Jeremy meets a new girl Anna and asks her to party with him in the woods, if you know what I mean. Naïve Jeremy doesn’t seem to be aware that Anna might have her own personal reasons as to why she wants to go into the woods with him! Careful, Jeremy, from hunter you just might be demoted to prey!

The clincher for Fool Me Once is still that mysterious tomb. Stefan, Damon and Elena team up with Bonnie and Grams in an effort to open the tomb and reveal what is inside! What they find inside is truly shocking, and leaves everyone at a loss of what to do! What do you think they found? More journals or more ancestors? Start Watching Episode 14

The mystery of the new vampire in town still goes on unsolved. Stephen and Damon are still hard at work trying to close the case. Is this the week that they finally do it? I kinda hope it is, so that there are no more mysterious killings.

Meanwhile, to keep Elena safe, Stephan gifts her with jewelry filled with Vervain. Vervain is a mysterious chemical that can be put in food, jewelry and drinks to protect the wearer from vampires. As long as a person wears the vervain, he is not susceptible to a Vampire’s control.

Things get tougher for matt and he is forced to take a job to make ends meet. He starts work at the mystic grill. Let’s see how long this will last! Ben tries to become Bonnie’s hero when he notices Damon bothering her. Ben tries to help Bonnie out which could lead to some catastrophic results!

Start Watching Episode 12

Who knew that Stephen and Damon had a long lost sister? The brothers get a very surprising visit from Maria, their sister who has disappeared for centuries. However, Maria is not back for a warm, family reunion. She has come back for revenge. On who, you all have to watch and find out! The brothers of course have the task of stopping Maria before she wreaks destruction on the whole town!

Meanwhile, Elena has a strange encounter on the road. She meets a man who tells her that he is vampire. That’s not all he does. The vampire bites Elena. Of course, Stephen eventually learns of this. And Stephen being Stephen, he seeks revenge against the unknown killer who has threatened to harm his Elena.

Maria is not the only new character in the episode. Alyssa makes an appearance too. No, she’s not a vampire but a witch. I wonder what kind of trouble she will bring to the show! We all have to tune in next week to find out!
